Callender’s Farm supply off-heat Bourbon Red turkey poults (from 8-weeks of age) that have been bred by our fabulous stag and beautiful hens, all of whom have been selected for their health and characteristics to ensure a strong breeding line of Bourbon Red turkeys.

We only hatch enough poults to fulfil the orders we receive, and orders must be received and pre-paid for by the 30th April. Typically we aim for our poults to hatch in late May/early June for collection in late July.

Off-heat poults at 8-weeks of age are £16 each. Turkeys can be collected later by prior agreement, with a charge of £2.50 per week per poult to cover the cost of feed, housing and care.

Collection

 

We prefer for customers to collect their turkey poults in person from our farm (as it is always nice to meet our customers and for our customers to see where their turkeys have come from); however, we are able to accept collection by a specialist avian courier; use of a courier would need to be arranged and paid for by the customer.

​

At 8-weeks of age the poults will be well grown (see photo at the bottom of this page) so it is essential that suitably-sized and well-ventilated containers are brought with the customer for transport to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for the young poults. We do not currently provide containers, so please do bring these with you.
